killed by a car or by a hunter or trapper needs to have a tag or license associated with it here in Florida (My father has a bobcat and an otter that were both found freshly roadkilled that he had taxidermied... all it took was a call to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for permission), so be sure of your state's wildlife regulations before doing any collection. (I know, I know, you didn't kill it, why would it be illegal to pick it up... just like parts and pieces off of endangered species that we find, we're not really supposed to pick up those eagle or hawk feathers that we find, or sea turtle skulls, or egret plumes or any of it... dang legal wording.)
